LEARNING ACTIVITIES*
Learners will attend lessons designed for their age group (up to age 18) and capabilities
A complete lesson agenda, including age grouped sessions, will be available here once the “Final Payment Due” deadline has been reached and passenger data (ages) are compiled.  Until then, what you can expect is the following:

On-Board Lessons* - Geography and Culture
The On-Board Lessons will cover the following information in an interactive setting and in a secular nature.

                  

People of Alaska

A series of fur, timber, gold, fishing and oil booms and busts have marked Alaska's history and culture. Review of how each boom brought in a different set of people.

 

 

 

Alaskan Natives  

Learn about the traditional activities of old ways of making crafts and art.

     

 

 

 

Natural resources of Alaska  

Learn about state symbols, geography, wildlife and ecosystems and how the Alaskan economy depends on the land. 

          

 

 

 

History of Alaska 

Review of the exploration and mapping of Alaska as well as the history of statehood.

HotS Scavenger Hunt
Stay up late because our cruise will offer a Summer Solstice event with our unique HotS Scavenger Hunt, cabin door decorating contest, and trivia game
 

HotS Quest
Each family will have the option of completing the “HotS Quest”

Quest:  A search or pursuit made in order to find or obtain something.

The “HotS Quest” is a live pursuit of knowledge that will take place at each port.  Each family will be provided a list of clues, hints and questions and they will embark on an adventure that will require creativity, problem solving and teamwork.  The “HotS Quest” will provide families with an opportunity to connect with and experience some local culture and will make memories for a lifetime.
