Before
we depart, you will receive your
"Alaska
Homeschool Cruise Companion" to get you energized
for all your exciting adventures. Within its pages you will
find, reading lists, curriculum ideas, and tips and tricks
for creating the best possible cruise experience for your
family. You can also get any questions answered by your
instructor and host and have discussions with fellow cruise
members via our yahoo group.

As our adventure begins, join us for a welcome aboard meet
and greet on the
first evening to get you started in getting the low down on what
adventures we
will be having, making friends, having fun, and dressing alike in
our cool t-shirts!
With like minded families, many friendships will blossom over the
course of our
week together.

Throughout our cruise, your school aged children, teens (up
to age 18), and
entire family will be
provided with not only a fun trip with all the amenities
aboard Royal Caribbean’s amazing ships, but an educational
experience that
will provide the basis for studies for years to come!
- Our
Secular
Interactive lessons
and activities will be presented for multiple
age groups and homeschool learning styles, in Science, History,
Geography,
Culture of each port city and region
visited.
Topics include: Salmon, the
Klondike Gold Rush, the state sport: dog sledding, Trans-Alaska
Pipeline,
astronomy, Inuit culture, and wildlife.

Our lessons and activities are developed and presented by
Homeschool moms
with professional educational experience and years of homeschool
parenting,
curriculum development, and creative activity planning experience.

Learners and their families can attend group classes
together playing games
and creating hands on projects to take home.

Upon arriving at each of the ports of call, families will
have the opportunity to
complete the
"HotS
Quest",
a memorable scavenger hunt adventure for the
whole family.

Stay up late because our cruise will offer a Summer Solstice
event with our
unique
HotS Scavenger Hunt,
cabin door decorating contest, and trivia
game.
- After
visiting our ports and participating in our learning
experiences, we will cap
off our activities with a
HotS Family
Jeopardy game.
