Autism Event Staff
Jamie Grover
Autism Group Director
Jamie
currently works for the University Center for Developmental
Disabilities at California State University – San
Bernardino. Jamie is the programs Project Coordinator and
Editor of the centers quarterly publication “The UCDD
Voice.” Jamie has written and published many articles
relating to the needs of children on the spectrum and their
families. Amongst Jamie’s many responsibilities working
with children and their families with developmental
disabilities, he’s also a counselor for a group of parents
attending the UCDD program.
Jamie
served as the West Coast Representative for the North Star
Foundation, an organization which pairs children with autism
and other developmental disabilities to quality trained
assistance dogs. Jamie is also a certified North Star dog
trainer and was responsible for training and assisting with
the placement of several assistance dogs last year,
including one with triplets who are all on the autism
spectrum.
Debbie Steffy
Associate Staff Member
Debbie is a devoted mother of two
and grandmother of four. Debbie has always enjoyed working with
children of all ages and enjoys seeing their creativity while
working on special projects. Debbie is the sister of our Group
Director, and has assisted him many times over the years with
special events working with children at the University Center
for Developmental Disabilities at CSUSB.
Debbie works full-time as an office
manager for a commercial contracting company in Anaheim, Ca.
Debbie and her husband are frequent travelers and have been on
many cruises with her brother over the last 5 years. When Jamie
asked his sister to assist us on this cruise she was delighted
to have the opportunity to work with our children and their
family’s.

Alumni Cruises
Mr. Sobbell has been in the cruise travel field for over 15
years. He has cruised on many of Royal Caribbean’s
ships, including all of the Voyager Class and Freedom Class ships and considers these
ships his second home. Mr. Sobbell strives to personally
attend every Cruise Event to ensure the cruise experience
meets every passengers expectations, as he will on this
Autism Family Cruise.
Mr. Sobbell welcomes you to this website and looks forward to
